Richard Gasquet

For the reasons outlined in yesterday's post and the very impressive demolition of Gaston Gaudio, the Frenchman should go on to win the Allianz Suisse Open in Gstaad. I was going to suggest a strong bet at 1.90, but Ljubicic lost his quarter and the odds have crashed.

So just a few quick words about Gasquet, he now resides in Switzerland, therefore victory will have special significance for the 20 yo. In the semi finals he meets Philipp Kohlschreiber who is having a pretty good year, but is out of his depth here. The 22 yo German has never made an ATP final and it would be a major surprise if that changed today.

Richard has had a tough time with injury and illness, given a clean bill of health, he is, at least, a top 10 player, I expect to see him fulfill all his potential in the next 12 months and start with victory here. Just can't advise a bet at the odds, think that he will win a "biggy", sooner, rather than later.

Good Luck.
