Robins to start where they finished ......

...............Gary Johnson's Bristol City started last season VERY slowly, but finished like a steam train, almost making the playoffs.

City picked up 42 of their 65 points in the second half of the season. They are determined to get a fast start this year and Johnson has been stepping up the fitness levels.

They have recently returned from a 3 match tour of Latvia, where they were unbeaten, including wins over Skonto and Jurmala, match fit sides, halfway through their domestic season.
On tour, City trained twice daily in temperatures as high as 37 degrees, in fact, Latvian players were impressed by their fitness levels.

Tonight, the Robins travel to play a pre season friendly against non league Forest Green Rovers, who have already been busy, losing two home games, 3-2 to Swindon last Thursday and 3-0 to Sunderland on Saturday, so this is their 3rd match in 4 days. The temperature today in England is over 30 degrees and the part timers will not be as advanced fitness wise, as the league side.

City have named a strong team and will be looking to continue their good run, these sides could be 4 divisions apart come next May.

4 points Bristol City -3/4 goals 1.84 asian line.

Good Luck.
