S P L

Several of you have asked if I have any views on the Scottish Premier League, which gets under way this weekend. No suggested bets, odds are a little low to wait 9 months for, but if that doesn't worry you, read on.

Rangers, now coached by Paul Le Guen, who masterminded the rise of Lyon as a major force, should win the SPL.

He has started by tightening up the defence and they look to be going in the opposite direction to Celtic, who, due to financial pressures, are going on a tour to Asia, AFTER the season has started. Only one winner for me, anything around 2.25 is a fair price.

Kris Boyd is a prolific goalscorer and baring injury, should be topscorer in the SPL. Kilmarnock's top goal getter for the last 4 seasons, he performed the same feat at Rangers, despite only joining them after the mid- season break. Infact, he was top scorer for both clubs last year, a repeat of his 32 goal haul, will see him coast home in this market, at 3.0 (totesport) he is a very good price.

I will be back later with a bet on the WSOP, found something priced at 3.0 which I make 1.80 !

Good Luck.
