Ajax expecting big things this season .....

Coach Henk ten Cate, recently said "we are at the beginning of a great period". The squad has been significantly improved over the summer. Several experienced hands have been brought in, including Gabri from Barcelona and Stam from Milan, to help develope the never ending supply of young talent.

Early signs are good, they took the Super Cup with a 3-1 victory, over big rivals PSV and started their Champions League campaign with an away victory in Copenhagen.

Reports elsewhere, state that Klaas Jan Huntelaar is suspended for today's home game with RKC Waalwijk, this is false, he is available and looking to build on his growing international reputation.

The visitors are much weaker on paper than for last season, having lost half a team during the off season. They have a terrible h2h record against Ajax, last 24 starts, are 19-4-1 in favour of the home side. Last 10 meetings in Amsterdam, have produced 9 home wins, all by 2+ goals, 8 by 3 or more goals.

Everything is in Ajax's favour and even with a big handicap, think the trend will continue, they will be cheered to victory by 40,000 season ticket holders.

4 points Ajax - 1.75 goals asian line 1.76

Good Luck.
