The Blue Brazil .............

....... Cowdenbeath have one of the best nicknames in sport, it was meant to be ironic, but they have started to live up to the tag, albeit with a long way to go.

They seem to be filling Gretna's role as the scoring sensation of Scotland's lower leagues.

In taking the 3rd Division Championship last season, they scored 30 goals in the last 10 matches, this was their first title of any sort in 67 years and I thought things were bad supporting Brentford !

This season they have carried on in the same, free scoring vein, scoring 14 goals in their opening 3 games. They do not sit back on a lead and opposing teams will get chances, in the 4-0 away win at Ayr on Saturday, the Cowdenbeath goalkeeper was singled out for praise by club and fans alike.

They are treating the home Challenge Cup tie with Stirling tonight seriously and want to continue the good run, no injuries and no changes from the weekend line up. The visitors like to play an open game too, their 36 matches last season produced 117 goals, at an average of 3.25 per game, a total only beaten by the legendary Gretna.

Think the goals will flow once more tonight, but it might not be all one way traffic, so it is the "over" option for me.

There is very little money around on the exchanges, or elsewhere, for "over" 2.5 goals, which I would have prefered, so we are left with the asian line of a 1/4 goal more, but I can live with that.

3 points Cowdenbeath-Stirling over 2.75 goals 1.88 asian line.

Good Luck.
