Nigel Clough has dedicated his post playing days to Burton Albion.......

He has managed to take them into the Conference, overseen the building of the £7m Pirelli stadium and several cup runs, including a money spinning two matches with Manchester United, in the FA Cup third round, last season. Matches that were dubbed the biggest in Burton's history.

However, Clough is determined there will be no sense of anti-climax as Albion set their sights on improving on last season's best-ever ninth position in the Conference.

The Brewers boss believes he has assembled a squad capable of challenging for promotion to the Football League and said "In terms of ability, youth and experience, the squad is the best equipped we've had in my eight years at the club — and that probably means it's the best squad in the club's history.

Having started with a 1-0 win at Morecambe, which is very much a Conference fortress ( only 10 defeats in 84 games, over 4 seasons), they will be looking to build on that with victory over Kidderminster Harriers tonight. The win on saturday was well deseved, Radio Lancashire reported that Albion dominated from start to finish and the main Morecambe fan site, was full of praise and predicted a promotion push.

Meanwhile, Kidderminster fans were left shocked and bemused by their team's performance in the 3-1 home defeat to supposed league whipping boys, St. Albans.

Last year Burton completed the league double over Harriers, in the home tie the 1-0 scoreline did not reflect the chances Albion created, with wave after wave of attacks. The speedy winger, Keith Gilroy, was the star of the show in both victories, he returns to the side tonight and the news has been met with dismay, by the Kidderminster faithful.Three points for Clough and Burton.

Team news.....
Harriers from:Bevan, Taylor, Harkness, Kenna, Cowan, Haworth, Creighton, Whitehead, Lee, McGrath, Sedgemore, Hurren, Russell, Penn, Reynolds, Blackwood, Eaton, McClen, Smikle, Sturridge, White.

Burton from:Taylor, Poole, Rowett, Webster, Corbett, Tinson, Austin, Henshaw, Brayford, Stride, Ducros, Gilroy, Clough, Fowler, Holmes, Clare, Shaw, Harrad, Scoffham.

4 points Burton to beat Kidderminster 1.85 general.

I will be back shortly with one more bet for today.

Good Luck.

Hi,

Not really, Stride and Hall did not play at Morecambe.

As I explained, Gilroy returns, so the squad is stronger today, not weaker.

Regards.
