BLACKBURN AND EUROPE ,,,,,,,,

.... two words that do not sit together too well.

The Premiership's club record in European football is, quite simply, awful. One win in 16 starts. They are still without a league win and have only mustered one goal in 4 matches, striker Jason Roberts is missing once again.

They travel to Austria and a meeting with the very ambitious Salzburg team, who boast an impressive home record. In addition to winning all 3 league games, they have also beaten FC Zurich and Valencia in Champions League qualification. In those 5 wins they have only conceded once.

After the start the Spanish side have made to their season, we now know how good the win over them was.

The Bulls Arena is sold out and no doubt crafty old coach, Giovanni Trapattoni, will have devised a plan to take a lead into the second leg.

There is some additional information in an earlier post......

Cannot see Blackburn winning this match and have to side with the Austrians, giving up a 1/4 ball.

Salzburg -1/4 1.98 asian line,

Good Luck.
