GOOD MORNING !

I am interested in the Ecuador-Sweden match, my first thoughts were to pass, as all the 1.80 seemed to have gone, but that is freely available on the exchanges at the moment, so let's be quick.

The match is being played at Cuenca, which is 2500m above sea level and a HUGE advantage for the hosts, who are very strong at home. There are many theories about the best way to approach games at altitude, some of the other South American sides, like to fly in a few hours before kick off, arguing that there is no time to suffer the effects, others to arrive many days before, giving the body time to acclimatize. Almost everyone agrees the worst thing to do is play a couple of days after arrival, which is what faces the visitors.

They played in Caracas on Sunday, losing 2-0 to Venezuela and suffering badly from the heat, so this has not been an easy trip for the Europeans. Sweden have not brought any of the big names and fielded this team in the opening match of this mini tour ......

Rami Shaaban, Daniel Mobaeck, Per Nilsson, Max Vox Schlebrugge, Oscar Wendt, Anders Svensson, Niclas Alexandersson (Matias Cocha, 73) , Martin Ericsson (Samuel Holmen, 61), Jeffrey Obeng (Markus Jonsson, 80), Ola Toivonen (Rade Prica, 61) and Daniel Nannskog (Olf Guterstam, 73)

Very much a "b" squad of players, who will do very well to avoid defeat tonight.

My only concern and one that keeps the stakes down, is that the two meet again in a few days time, cynics amongst us, may feel that they will want to keep interest in the second game alive, but that is not enough to put me off.

3 points Ecuador 1.81 betfair.

Good Luck.
