WEDNESDAY.... NEWS AND VIEWS

Muhammad Ali turns 65 today. Happy Birthday to the Greatest!

The NFL is coming to London, it is now official, the first ever regular season game outside North America, will be played at Wembley or Twickenham, in late September / mid October. It is likely to feature the Miami Dolphins, who will be the "home team" and the New York Giants.

Phil Mickleson makes his first start of the season, in the Bob Hope Classic, which is played over 5 rounds and gets underway, today, in California.

Big Phil usually comes flying out of the blocks and is at his best, early in the year, he has tweaked his swing and worked hard on fitness levels over the winter break. Which was an extended one for him, as he has not played since the Ryder Cup in September.

I will be passing on this event, definitely not a fan of these pro-am events and the television coverage is usually dire, focusing on the celebrities, most of whom are unknown to a non US audience, instead of the golf .

Plenty of matches to choose from today, in addition to the tennis, we have cup games in England, Italy, France, Spain and Scotland.

I am going to start with a bet in France, which will be online shortly.

Check back.
