MANCHESTER UNITED - READING

This is another match, which at first glance, screams goals.

Since losing to West Ham, two months ago, United have played 11 games and scored two or more, in 10 of them.

Reading have been on an almost identical run, since Christmas they have notched 27 goals in 10 starts, with an amazing 2+ in 9.

The New Year meeting at Old Trafford, ended 3-2 to the hosts, Reading took a lot of confidence from that, as they played over 20 minutes with 10 men, after Sam Sodje was sent off. He had only been on the pitch a few minutes, I thought that Sam had calmed down a bit, he was sent off 5 times in one season at Margate, it's a mighty long way from Conference football to O.T.

Royals boss steve Coppell, has been criticized by supporters, for planning to "rotate" his side tomorrow, a couple of changes are forced upon him anyway and he said the same in the previous round, changing his mind at the last minute. Whatever team he puts out will be competitive and well organised, Coppell's sides always are. This is a manager and a man, of the highest calibre.

It is likely to be a much changed United line up too, Rooney and van der Sar are unavailable and several others are set to be rested, ahead of the vital midweek Champions League trip, to Lille.

You probably feel I am going for the "over", but not this time, my selection is for the visitors, with a very healthy handicap start.

In the two previous rounds Sir Alex's team beat Premiership opposition at home, by an identical 2-1 scoreline. Think we can expect something similar, if the hosts do take the lead, they are likely to and can be forgiven for "stepping off the gas".

4 points Reading +1.5 goals 1.87 asian line.

Good Luck.
