CHAMPIONSHIP ............. SOUTHAMPTON-COLCHESTER UNITED

Southampton are something of a mystery, at times they look the best team in the Championship, at others, decidedly average.

Take the match at Preston recently, they completely dominated the first 44 minutes and it is no exaggeration to say they could have been 4 up, somehow, I still do not know how, they contrived to find a way to lose 3-1. They followed this up, by throwing away leads and points in their last two starts against Stoke and Cardiff.

This has to stop, Saints now sit 3 points outside the play-off zone and HAVE to get back on track tonight. Colchester have had a fine season, many expected them to struggle and, to be safe from relegation worries, early in the New Year, was a wonderful achievement. However, they have little to play for now and can claim only 2 points and goals, in six starts. Their coach admits to be trying some things out for next season and we have to give the hosts one more chance.

Southampton create any number of attempts at goal, registering 550 for the season, that is over 5 per game on average, more than tonight's opponents, a huge number, over a 38 matche period .

They will get plenty of chances and are likely to hand out a hammering to someone soon.

4 points Southampton -1/2 ball 1.70 general // Expekt.

Good Luck.
