INDIAN WELLS UPDATE .........

I will quickly give my thoughts on today's tennis, before returning a little later with some more football selections.

Li Na did fantastically well for us yesterday, winning in straight sets, she really was wonderful value at 4.74 to beat Jankovic. To demonstate that fact, the Chinese player has now been made odds on, to defeat Zvonareva today. Do the bookmakers really believe there is that much difference between Jankovic and Zvonareva, anyway no bet for me, to be honest I did make the Russian a narrow favourite.

In the Men's event we have two re-matches from last year, Davydenko and Murray followed by Djokovic against Benneteau.

Davydenko took the deciding set 6-3 last year and leads the h2h 2-1, with Murray, who has obviouly the greater potential at this stage of their careers, winning in Doha, a few weeks ago. I made this a coin flip, but the Russian could interest some at 2.36.

Benneteau beat Djokovic 3&4 last year and looks overpriced at around 5.0 today, he is not the most consistent player around, but very capable on his day and at such a price, you can always take a chance. Going to risk a minimal bet.

My main idea of the day is for Carlos Moya to win the all Spanish battle, with David Ferrer. He leads the h2h 5-1, most meetings coming on the "red stuff", but holds a 3&4 win over his opponent here in 2005. Not much between them on this seasons form, but Moya's start could have been even better, he was very unlucky to run into an inform James Blake, twice in as many days, in Australia. I make him favourite to win and can't pass the odds against.

1 point Benneteau to beat Djokovic 5.0 Betfair.

3 points Moya to beat Ferrer 2.04 Betfair.

Good Luck.
