After looking booked for a top 4 finish, virtually all season long, Palermo have slipped to 5th, following Milan's afternoon victory at Messina.
They must now try to make up lost ground, away at runaway leaders, Inter. This looks a daunting task, as Inter have a fantastic 25-5-0 record and are looking to see out the season unbeaten.
However, in recent starts it has looked as though motivation was something of a problem, especially in the first half of matches. It is now 8 games since they went in at the break ahead, drawing six and trailing AC Milan, in the other.
Palermo are sure to come out fighting and should be capable of holding the home side, at least for 45 minutes.
