DIVISION 2 PLAY-OFFS

Shrewsbury Town host the MK Dons, on what is set to be a very testing Gay Meadow pitch. The Fire service were enlisted to pump water off the pitch .LINK

The hosts have come in for a lot of criticism this season for the condition of their playing surface, but there is little that can be done about it now. There is no doubt that it hands the advantage firmly to Shrewsbury, as they are used to it and it will negate the speed of the Dons strikers.

The visitors are missing several players and have a couple of others carrying small knocks.
Their coach Martin Allen is a strong motivator, but has yet to prove he has the tactical nous, to go all the way, when things do not go according to plan, he is very slow to make changes.

Town are also missing 3 players, but all are long term injuries and will not be a problem. The two met here, early last month, with the home team coming from behind to win 2-1. MKD started very strongly that day as they often do, think the Shrews will keep things tight early and push forward as the game wears on.

Not much between the two in the second half of the season, both won 11 matches, but Town only lost 3, including 2 at a time, when they had a real fixture pile up.

So, we can take a team at level ball, who are VERY difficult to beat, on a heavy home pitch, which suits them better.

5 points Shrewsbury Town level ball 1.78 asian line. DRAW no bet

Good Luck.
