WEDNESDAY ..........

I have previewed three events on the email service today, two football and one tennis match, where we have some significant injury news about a top ranked player.

Blog wise we have a big day, as we have already secured a 16 point profit on the UEFA Cup final, having backed Zenit at circa 21.0 and covered on Rangers last week. However, we still have an extra 11.5 points up for grabs if the Russian champions take the trophy home, so plenty of excitement ahead.

Rangers supporters have, as always, travelled in huge numbers, despite an official ticket allocation of just 13,000, in a crowd of 43,000, well over 100,000 fans are expected in Manchester today. Judging by the latest reports, even that number might be a little conservative !

Big screens have been put up in the city centre and let's just say that it will be very lively in Manchester this evening !

Elsewhere, Hull and Watford meet to decide who will play Bristol City at Wembley, in a match that is set to worth £60m + to the winner. What an amazing turnaround for Hull, exactly five years ago, they had just finished yet another season in the lower reaches of Division 2, winning just 14 of 46 starts and the Premiership was a distant and unrealistic dream, now, it is just 135 minutes away. Apparently, Hull is the biggest city in Europe never to have had a team playing top flight football. Maybe they will put that right this season. Actually, I have a very strong view on the match tonight and am hoping to be able to post it online later.

Good Luck.
