This is the first semi-final of Superliga and a rematch of last year's meeting at the same stage, which the mexican side took on penalties.Houston consider themselves hard done by, as they took the lead, played 80 mins of regular time with 10 men and then were reduced to nine for extra time ! If that was not enough the two met again in the semis of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, Dynamo won the home leg 2-0, but lost the return, again, going out on penalties !
They are incredibly motivated to get some revenge and have been very focused in the competition so far. They opened with an eye catching 4-0 win over Atalante, beat DC United 3-1 to qualify and even in the 1-0 loss to Guadalajara played really well and controlled the game for long periods. The last thing Houston want is another shoot out, they will have their very passionate fans making the atmosphere white hot and the two time US defending champions, are determined to prove theirselves on a bigger stage.
Hosts have not played for 7 days and should be the fresher of the two, Pachuca had to fly home for their first domestic game of the season at the weekend.
