NFL ..... MIAMI DOLPHINS @ KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

If you want to turn a franchise around in double quick time, hire Bill Parcells for your front office and let him get the "hatchet" out. He started work by firing everyone and employing his former assistant, Tony Sparano, as head coach and that has turned out to be very good business indeed.

The pair have guided the Dolphins from 1-15 in 2007, to 9-5 this year and know that two more wins will take them into the playoffs. For now, they will settle for setting up a divisional decider next week in New York against the Jets and to do so, will have to see off the Chiefs tonight.

Kansas are a very poor 2-12 and have lost all eight non-divisional games and by an average of over 16 points, including a 23 point defeat to another East team, in Buffalo. Game time temperature is set to fall to around 20 degrees and I think that is why "the fish" are asked to "only"give up a shade over a field goal. However, the weather should play to the Dolphins' strength, which is running the ball and a physical defense, they have got very miserly recently and not given up a touchdown in twelve quarters of football.

Chiefs have the worst ranked defense in the NFL and are set to record an all time record for fewest sacks in a season, so, I do not think that Miami quarterback Chad Pennington will have lost too much sleep this week. He will be desperate to go back to the "Big Apple", after the Jets dropped him in favour of Brett Favre and I expect him to guide his very motivated team mates to a comfortable win.

6 points Miami Dolphins -3.5 points 2.03 Vegas Line.

Good Luck.
