HARD TO SEE TOO MUCH FIRST HALF ACTION AT ANFIELD......

LIVERPOOL - REAL MADRID

We have taken the half time draw in Liverpool's games several times this season and it has worked well, most recently in the Sunderland game last week. They have now gone in at the break level in 6 of their last 7 starts and in 7 of their last 9 knockout stage fixtures in this competition, including the first leg, where the EPL side, earned a late winner.

Holding a lead and knowing that 0-0 is good enough, it is hard to see Rafael (caution first) Benitez, being too ambitious and several senior players at Real, have made it clear that a patient approach is needed and it doesn't matter when a goal comes, as long as it does eventually. Fabio Cannavaro said that "If we score we would force Liverpool to come out and play. If they want to win the game they are going to have to play and this is the moment where we could take advantage."

So we have two teams, who will probably settle with battling it out after the break. Actually Liverpool have played six home european games against Spanish opposition without recording a win, so might not be too adventurous even then.

5.5 points half time draw 2.10 general quote.

Good Luck.
