MONTPELLIER LOOKING TO KEEP THE PACK AT BAY .....

FRANCE LIGUE 2

BASTIA- MONTPELLIER

Montpellier have really performed well on the road this season, where they have already recorded five wins, just two shy of the total achieved in the previous two seasons combined. It is not just the wins, but the manner in which they have been earned, which has really caught the eye. They won 2-0 at runaway leaders Lens and the other four all came by either a 3-0 or 4-0 scoreline, which are very unusual margins in this league.

They currently lie in the final promotion spot, just a point ahead of both Angers and Strasbourg, the last named go to basement club Nimes on Monday, so Montpellier will be keen to maintain their advantage tonight. Bastia look set for another mid table finish, which is where they have ended the last two seasons, have lost their last two starts and seem short on motivation. They remain without a number of players and also the suspended Hassoun Camara, which limits their options.

When the visitors win, it is normally by a few goals and with a clean sheet, so I am also taking them to keep Bastia scoreless and a minimal bet on a 3-0 correct score, at a huge price.
