TURNER MAKING FULL USE OF HIS CONTACTS ......

DIVISION 1

YEOVIL TOWN - HEREFORD UNITED

Much has gone on behind the scenes at Yeovil in recent weeks and little of it good, nearly all has been with the sole aim of cutting costs, which is vital in modern day lower league football of course, but this has to balanced against the potential cost in footballing terms and Town are far from safe from relegation concerns.

Hereford are in the relegation zone, but have played far beyond that level in several recent performances, namely a 2-0 win over Leeds and 5-0 defeat of Oldham, both of whom appear playoff bound. United coach Graham Turner has come in for criticism for his liberal use of his contacts in the game and the loan system, he currently has six on loan including Peter Gulasci (Liverpool), Godwin Antwi (Liverpool), Sam Hewson (Manchester United) and Febian Brandy (Manchester United). Antwi and Brandy already have 30+ games at this level, from former loan spells, Hewson is a regular in the England U19 team and Gulasci a young Hungarian goalkeeper with unlimited potential.

These youngsters have ability way above the average Division 1 player and many clubs consider this an unfair advantage, but Turner has not broken any rules and now that they have settled in at Hereford, are performing well and are out to impress their parent clubs, we have to keep them on our side.

A couple of injury concerns for Yeovil, including player-manager Terry Skiverton and I have to oppose them.

5 points Hereford +1/2 ball 1.82 asian line.

Good Luck.
