THE MODERN FACE OF THE EPL ........... OR HOW TO LOOK GOOD IN TEAM MERCHANDISE ..............

I am really looking forward to the Everton-Manchester City match tonight, which is bound to be the kiss of death and certain to herald a scoreless draw, but I think and hope not.

Come kick off time the visitors seem certain to have lost their fourth spot in the table and will come out all guns blazing in an attempt to win it back. Offensively, they are on fire with 14 goals in five starts and Tevez could hardly be in better shape with an incredible eleven goals in the last six weeks ! He and they will surely fancy their chances against an injury hit defence with a couple of players playing out of position and one which can boast just one clean sheet in 16 outings, conceding an eyepopping 28 times in that sequence.

Having said all that, they have some key players back in the team now (at least offensively) and Tim Cahill in particular, is clearly approaching top form, along with the underated Steven Pienaar. They took the game to Arsenal last week at the Emirates and were unfortunate to not collect all three points. David Moyes side were equally as ambitious at Stamford Bridge in a recent 3-3 draw and if they approach this in a similar manner today, we might well be in for a thriller. Both teams are happier going forward and whilst Roberto Mancini has obviously worked on City defensively and not just sauntered up an down the training pitch looking good in a scarf, this is a work in progress and they are far from the finished product. Unless Everton throw Mancini off his stride by removing all mirrors from the visiting changing room, it will be goals for me !

6.5 points "over" 2.5 goals 2.0 asian line.

Good Luck.
