OUCH !

Ouch ! Disappointing pair of results yesterday, little unfortunate with the Ipswich game which was an incredibly open affair, with 17 corners and 40 attempts on goal, 25 of which were on target. Those are exceptionally big numbers and on another night, we would have landed that bet with ease.

Elsewhere, Brentford again had enough chances, including a missed penalty to have seen off one of the better Division 1 sides and the Bees are growing in self belief and into life at the higher level. Think the 1,800 Saints supporters would have been a little frustrated that Alan Pardew decided to sit on his team's 1-0 lead after dominating the opening exchanges, they have enough quality to go and finish off matches even on the road.

Fantastic night for Norwich who came from behind at the break to snatch all three points at Walsall and open up a three point lead at the top of the table. This is a very strong, mentally tough side that Paul Lambert has assembled, they do not know when they are beaten and fitness levels are through the roof, with the Canaries winning an eyecatching 19 of 28 second half's. That's four more than Leeds and eight more than any other team at this level, when the going get's tough ................

I will be back later with a quick look at some of tonight's action, looking to recover some of yesterday's losses.

Good luck.
