THE QUIET BEFORE THE STORM ....

A couple of quiet days in the lead up to a very busy weekend and New Year, which I outlined to subscribers this morning (see below). The new website is almost ready and will be launched next week along with another very exciting announcement, so look out for both in the next 5-7 days.

Following feedback from many of you, I have decided to keep the blog active and up and running alongside the website, to be honest, it would have been sad to see the blog close after such a long time, so whilst it will mean a little more work, I feel it is the correct decision.

I have outlined some really nice plays (below) that I have been working on over recent days, they are going to have to be kept solely for subscribers, but are so strong, it will probably allow me to free up more of the "other" content than usual for the blog and social media pages in the next few days, but remember, what you get to see for free are almost never my strongest selections.

FRIDAY DECEMBER 28TH

Western Sydney rode their luck at times, especially late in the game, when Perth Glory came on very strong and put the visitors under a lot of pressure, but the match ended all square and now Wanderers live up to their name and travel all the way back to the East Coast for a New Year's Day game with Melbourne Victory. Some of the WSW players looked out on their feet at the final whistle and a third match in nine days with a close to 7,000 km coast to coast round trip thrown into the mix, seems sure to take it's toll in one of their two scheduled games next week. As discussed yesterday, the match in Perth was played in pretty brutal conditions and energy reserves must already be low.

Not a lot of action today, but from tomorrow onwards, it is full steam ahead, schedule.....

SATURDAY 29/12 :Email sent @ 10.30 UK time, this will cover all the Premier and Football League action and probably a Conference preview too, 5-6 full match previews.

SUNDAY 30/12: Email #1 will be sent out @ 10.00 UK time and will include the remaining weekend football games and a new long term bet which is currently trading at double digit ( 10.0 +) odds, we have a very solid record with all these bigger price selections and I urge you all to strongly consider getting involved.

Email # 2 @ 13.00 UK time will look at the final regular season round of fixtures in the NFL, this is very likely to be the busiest day of the season and will probably contain 4-5 previews, including one very strong selection (1.75 units)  at odds well above 2.50.

MONDAY 31/12/ TUESDAY 01/01 : Just one email, sent at 13.00 UK time on Monday, which will cover all the New Year's Day football, when we have a full programme of English matches.

WEDNESDAY 02/01: Back to normal with the 10.00 email with the focus on Premier and SPL matches.

There are Emperor's Cup semi final matches taking place early ( for those of us based in Europe) Saturday morning, with Gamba Osaka and Kashima Antlers meeting in Fukuroi and Yokohama F.Marinos facing Kashiwa Reysol in Shinjuku.

I am not getting involved, but these are usually pretty close, keenly fought affairs, three of the four quarter final games at the weekend went to extra time and the fourth was decided by the only goal of the game, three of the last six semi finals have gone to extra time and at least one and maybe both of these evenly matched looking ties, could very easily follow suit. Marinos were the J-League draw specialists this season, with 14 of their matches ending all square, Gamba might be seen as the weakest team left, as they will be playing second tier football next season, but the blow would be considerably softened if they were to win the cup and thereby qualify for Champions League football next season, taking that into account and the fact that Marinos missed out on qualifying for the CL by just one place in the league, I see those two as marginally the more motivated of the four, but all will be busting a gut to win and giving no quarter. Pinnacle Sports have the best odds available for both draws at 3.67 and 3.44 respectively which will give you a minimum 72% profit if one of them ends all square, which seems perfectly acceptable given how close all four quarter final games were and the overall semi final record . Gamba, who last won the cup as recently as 2009 aside, only seven points separated the other three across 34 league matches. Antlers and Gamba have actually won four of the last five Emperor's Cups between them ( two each), so further incentive for both to go out on their shields.

Good Luck.
